Mark Ver Planck

Mark Ver Planck focuses his practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, representing insurers in complex first-party and third-party disputes in state and federal courts throughout California. His work includes analyzing coverage issues, defending extra-contractual claims, evaluating litigation exposure, drafting coverage analyses, and litigating matters through all phases of the case.
Before joining Weston & Agness LLP, Mr. Ver Planck represented public entities and their employees in civil litigation involving personal injury, dangerous condition of public property, constitutional claims, employment disputes, and governmental liability, managing cases from inception through resolution. Earlier in his career, he represented Social Security Disability and SSI claimants in administrative proceedings and federal appeals, and previously held legal and compliance roles in the mortgage servicing industry, where he managed quality control initiatives, investor repurchase demands, and title insurance claims.
